Stunning views over Portovenere and beautiful room and balcony !

Wonderful position of hotel! The views from our room were amazing . Lovely balcony . Excellent food in restaurant but limited choice. Nice pool . Room always cleaned promptly and well.

Restaurant menu did not change in the week we stayed. So that encouraged us to dine out more in Portovenere . There was limited space by the pool and the route to get to it was difficult. Some people criticise the difficulty getting into Portovenere but we enjoyed the walk or using the Girobus. Sometimes staff numbers were limited. On one rainy day they couldn't provide lunch for us and on our last morning when the lift was out of action they would not offer any help carrying our suitcases up two flights of stairs to reception. That is not good enough considering the price we paid for our stay.

A smart modern hotel with fantastic sea views.

A modern hotel with lots of glass, marble floors and aluminium. Located on a hill overlooking Portovenere and about 20 minutes walk from the port. There is also a circular bus every 15 minutes to the port from outside the hotel. the rooms are spacious and comfortable and we had a terrific sea view from our balcony. The restaurant is excellent with again marvellous sea views although it seems under used as many guests seem to eat in the port. There is plenty of free parking, which is at a premium in Portovenere.

The pool and pool area are quite small. The breakfast was mediocre and no where near as good as the evening food.

Would recommend!

The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly. Great breakfast in the morning! Pool facilities were good too.

The location is good. However, the stairs may not be suitable for everyone as there are a lot. Bar should be open during the day. There is a booking system for the 6 Sun loungers at the poolside. We feel there could be more Sun loungers to allow guests to enjoy these facilities.

Unfortunately due to timing of our trip (winter) the quaint town was completely dormant. Food was very hard to come by with most shops closed. Not their problem…ours.

Modern with a spectacular view

The hotel is very clean and artsy. Parking was in a beautiful spot. The surrounding area is spectacular! The room was very modern, with a good hot shower with fancy toiletries and soaps. The view from the balcony was beautiful, the only bad thing was that it was a divided balcony with another room and You could easily look into other people's faces while they sleep on the bed and they leave the curtains open for the view... Breakfast service was very good with various options, but the breakfast room was freezing. Although the attendant allowed us in the warm restaurant room, so the issue was fixed quite promptly.

The room and bathroom was a bit narrow, and the temperature in the room and other places in the hotel was a little low for comfort at the start of December.

Wonderful

The staff at the reception and at dinner were outstanding They went out of their way to make us comfortable We are vegetarians and they tried to make something up for us. The staff at the reception was very considerate. We wanted to reduce our stay by a day and that they readily helped us to do and also refunded our money for the last night promptly

the staff said, that the air conditioner will be repaired, but it didn’t worked the three days - Breakfast: eggs and bacon were cold Bread was dry Quality was not good for a four-star hotel and not a lot of choice The room was not comfortable (no tablecloth like it showed on the pictures) and it was loud and echoed The food was not good present The pool was dirty The room was not cozy, so many little things where missing (pictures, hook for hand-towel,..) Furniture was cheap (door difficult to open) All in one: this hotel is so much overpriced! The only good thing was the view. This is so disappointing

Great view and location but ….

Location and view

Way to expensive for what you get in terms of pool, services and room. Also the spaces outside and the pool are not so clean and the room is too basic for this price (suite 13: bathroom way to small , missing shelves to leave toiletries etc. The room was with empty minibar and even bottled water missing, missing something to sit comfortably inside. Pity because this place has a tremendous potential but missing loving & caring.

Lovely view, considerably limited hotel. Not value for money unless they up their game.

View from the room was excellent (room 12). Staff were really nice. Easy parking and nice elevator.

It was just opened and clearly work wasn’t finished. Even the room still needed painting finished off, and there are barely any staff working there. Breakfast was really limited for a 4 star hotel, not even any fresh fruit. Restaurant and bar just opened but no one was around really. Our balcony door was also broken - it didn’t close - and couldn’t be fixed. Room swap was terrible so we stayed where we were. Location means a 1 mile walk to town, so better to drive for dinner. No robes provided for walking to the pool, which is necessary considering that guests must pass by the reception.

Modern hotel with gorgeous sea view.

Gorgeous view of the harbour. If your room does not have a view to the sea, you will enjoy it at breakfast. Amazing breakfast. Enjoyed the housecoat and slippers.

It is at the opposite end of the village so be prepared for steps and a gentle walk.

Great hospitality and a team of people who managed to solve some small issues with a smile and kindness. The hotel was still in ‘soft- opening’ stage and we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Absolutely lovely

The dining both at breakfast and at night was fantastic - compliments to the chef! The room with a view over the sea was gorgeous with a lovely bathroom. The hotel is positioned so well and is close to the port where activities can be done. Central to some exceptional history.

The door to the balcony did not open fully and we had to squeeze through. Being off season the gardens and pool were not that well tended to.
